About this project

Infrabel, in collaboration with Syntigo (IT projects management company) appealed to Applidium for the setting up of the mobile version of its real-time traveler information service, RailTime. In charge of the whole project, Syntigo and Applidium assist Infrabel in defining their needs before designing and implementing the mobile applications.

Since November 2011, the RailTime application has been available on the iPhone, iPad and Android smartphone platforms, providing travelers realtime information on the Belgian rail network and the big international connections. It offers the following features:

• Easily find the realtime schedules for all the belgian trains and prepare your current or future journey with the advanced search tool.

• Whether daily or casual user, the RailTime application will fit your needs, especially with the bookmarks of your searches.

• Bonus : A smart alarm system will notify you in case of perturbations on your trip or from the arrival at your final stop.

• On iPad, a clustering system on the interactive map makes it easy to access in a few clicks the information you need.

Since September 2012, two additional platforms offer the application: Windows Phone 7 and Android tablet. At the same time, iOS and Android smartphones updates are available and propose the option to look forward or backward for timetables, directly from the results page.
