VLC media player bientôt disponible sur l'AppStore

Après plusieurs mois de portage, nous sommes fiers d’annoncer la soumission à Apple de VLC pour iPad ! Cette application se distingue par plusieurs points. Tout d’abord, c’est une application gratuite, fait suffisamment rare sur l’AppStore pour être souligné. Ensuite, cette application est OpenSource. Nous sommes en train d’organiser l’inclusion de nos modifications aux sources du client VLC “traditionnel”. En parallèle, lors de la release de l’application sur l’AppStore, nous publierons bien entendu l’intégralité de nos modifications.

Si tout se passe bien, VLC pour iPad devrait arriver sur l’AppStore dans la semaine du 15 Septembre. Pour fêter la publication de cette application, nous organisons un jeu concours ! À gagner, une version de l’application VLC en pré-release, avant tout le monde ! Pour participer, c’est très simple : suivez @applidium sur Twitter. After several month of porting, we are proud to announce the release of VLC for the iPad! This application stands out for two reasons. First, it will be available for free on the AppStore. But that’s not all. VLC is an OpenSource project. We are currently preparing our patches for submission to the main VLC tree. And obviously, we will release our current working tree when the app will hit the AppStore.

If everything goes well, VLC for the iPad should be available next week. To celebrate this release, we’re organizing a game. To be won: a copy of VLC of the iPad, one week before the official release! All you have to do is to follow @applidium on Twitter. We will randomly pick 5 people out of our followers on Sunday, and we’ll send them their own version of VLC for the iPad!
