About us

If you’ve ever heard of Applidium, you’ll know we’re a team of experts specialized in designing and developing mobile applications : games, utilities, sports apps, news apps. We’re working on both the iOS and Android platforms, and we like experimenting with other less popular OSes.

Our activity is double-sided : on the one hand we publish our own applications, and on the other hand we have a consultancy activity where we leverage our expertise to help major organizations. We’re looking for curious people, fast learners, who have a solid background in computer science.

Job description

We consider interns as a full members of our development team. Interns joining our team will face the same technical challenges that our full-time engineers work on every day. Here are some of the projects that past engineering interns worked on:

• Designing a neural network to recognize digits from handwritten shapes
• Writing a web proxy to translate Google searches to JSON
• Designing, developing, and shiping an application on the iOS App Store
• Experimenting with facial features recognition and head tracking on the iPad
• Writing new transitions between the screens of an iPhone app (to replace the efficient yet boring ‘slide to the left’ animation)

Interning at Applidium is a unique opportunity to work with (and learn from) the talented engineers that are behind Applidium’s applications.

Job qualification

You’re working towards a MS or BS in Computer Science, and you’re considered somewhat of a hacker by your peers.

Required qualifications

• Solid background in C
• Good knowledge of object-oriented programming

Qualifications that we’ll appreciate

• Being familiar with an Operating System’s architecture
• Knowing a scripting language
• Some background in UX design
• Being able to use Photoshop
